how does it work?

T2S Mobile is truly standalone, it does not require any internet access, there are no monthly / annual fees and it does not use expensive short codes.

T2S Mobile works by connecting a compatible mobile (cell) phone or GSM modem to you computer via a data/USB cable.

The software needs to be installed on a PC with a second (dual) screen. The main screen runs the T2S interface where you control the messages and functions of T2S, the secondary screen output is connected to your output screens or projectors so your customers can see their messages

When a user sends in their message the T2S software reads from your mobile (cell) phone or GSM modem and the T2S operator authorises it to display on the screen

Users can also send in photos via Bluetooth and (after approval by the operator) they can be shown on your output screens. As the photos are sent via Bluetooth there is no MMS cost at all to your users (your PC will need Bluetooth for this feature)

Why short codes are a bad idea for SMS to screen

Many people believe that using a short code to generate income from their SMS to screen is a great idea, the fact is just because your user gets charged say 50p by the time all the networks take their cut you could end up with a little as 10p per message, and the next month when your users get their bill in your system may not be so popular.

Because T2S Mobile runs from a mobile (cell) phone or GSM modem it's no different from your users sending an SMS to a friend. As the users get charged a standard rate they will use it more making it a more powerful marketing tool for you.

Using a short code means your users have to pre-fix a venue ID at the start of each message, somthing that will not always remember to do. With T2S Mobile all they need is the right phone number, they can even save it in their phones address book!
